Post-Op

James got home about an hour ago from Stanford and not a moment too soon.  I’ve been cooped-up during today’s incessant deluge with two little people that have been off of school for thirteen days and are starting to lose their minds…  Our road is closed due to flooding, the barn is on the verge of flooding, and the number of tears due to too much screen time has me starting on an ark.

On the positive side, James, Granddad and Uncle Brett visited our favorite ENT/surgeon/thespian talent for the post-op appointment today.  The doctor was very pleased with how James is healing and said his voice is better than he expected.  I have to agree– I noticed it last night over the phone.  James expressed his heartfelt gratitude and the doctor was genuinely touched, wondering why he suddenly had a case of the sniffles…

Next Wednesday is our meeting with the oncologists.  Let’s just hope we don’t have to get there via ark?

  2. Let me know if you need us to pull the ark with our bus! Sanders Tow is ready when needed! Rooting for good treatment need on the 11th! #teamjames

    • Thanks Doll. Looks like another big storm this weekend. I think we’re more likely to need the bus as an escape hatch from the two monkeys at our house who’ve been on Christmas vacation too long and been trapped inside for days on end. Stay safe this weekend and keep an eye on your basement 😉

  3. Love the updates. xoxo

    • Thanks Mel. Got your holiday card last night– so so cute! You are the three darling girls at the Christmas tree farm dressed for the occasion while Jake and Nate go running past, covered in mud and mis-matched fluorescent clothing 😉

Gladly to hear James came out of surgery excellent, we at Zings are totally behind you to fight this, give our support and prays. Jamie take care of yourself and two boys too.

    • Zings– Somehow this comment snuck past me! We’re so sad we can’t make it to Daniel’s wedding to see you all and celebrate. Just too much on our plate right now. But please know we are thinking of you and can’t wait to see your smiling faces soon.
